Mikey's Story
Hi, my name is Mikey, I am an Australian Cattle Dog Mix.
I am only 3 years old but I have been abandoned by my humans 3 times. It has been a hard life for me until late last year. I really wanted to be a good dog but no one understood me. I felt grouchy because my tummy hurt, my skin was always itchy, and well, I did not smell so good. I had diarrhea a lot, so that made me feel bad too. I just wanted to be a happy dog with a happy family.
Not too far away, a nice couple was looking to adopt a new family member. They searched and searched at homeless animal shelters and looked on the internet. Then one day they saw my smiling face. They called the shelter that was taking care of me and made a date to visit me. Well, we all fell in love. They could see my happy heart even though I had some problems. My heart jumped! I jumped! Then we all jumped! I had found my very own Forever Family.
They gave me good quality food, took me to the vet, and even gave me vitamins to help me. I was happy but I still did not feel good, I even growled at my family a few times 'cause my feet were so sore, itchy and sensitive. I was very sorry, but I could not tell them why.
My new Forever Family was special, they did not give up on me. They had already made Micro Minerals, a trace mineral that had helped horses, mules, donkeys, mini horses, goats, sheep, llama, rabbits, even zebra and giraffe! Well, they made me some and mixed it into my food.
