Here Are Some Simple Tips to Protect Your Cat's Health:
  • Cleaning Water Bowls:  Use a clean spray bottle filled with half white vinegar and water. Label it and keep it handy for daily use.
  • Empty old water from bowl, spray with vinegar solution, let sit for 2 minutes, wipe with paper towel to remove surface sediment that harbors germs.
  • Rinse bowl several times, refill with fresh water. Repeat daily.
  • Add a half scoop of EnviroMin Cat to fresh water for added protection against bacteria growth, healthy teeth and gums, and a little extra help with fresher breath.
  • Always use glass, stainless steel, or ceramic water and feeding bowls.  Plastics leech chemicals and cause feline acne, evidence that cats are definitely affected by the plastics.
  • Don't use a garden hose to fill your cat's water bowl.  Hoses harbor bacteria and can leech petroleum based chemicals into the water.  Don't use dish soap for cleaning water bowls, use vinegar method.  If possible, bowls may be put into the dish washer weekly, however, a thorough rinsing is important to remove chlorine residue.
  • Cats prefer moving water, however, water fountains can be very hard to keep clean.  If you are up to the task, use only glass, ceramic, or stainless steel units. Use the vinegar method for cleaning, use the special brushes to clean all surfaces, tubes, and corners.  Be sure to let vinegar solution set for for 2 minutes to kill bacteria.
  • Adding a 1/2 scoop of EnviroMin Cat to daily water helps keep water clean and healthy while adding vital trace minerals.  Most cats prefer "mineralized" water over regular tap water.  EnviroMin Cat works well with fountains since it settles to the bottom and will not harm filters.
  • Providing clean, fresh water is the number one priority for cat parents. A clean bowl is the first step in protecting our cat's health.
